High Voltage Wire Harness Senior Engineer (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities

• You are able to understand the technical content of customer RFQ, RFI or advanced studies, including BOM’s and specifications
• You represent the main technical contact for the OEM’s 
• You create the harness BOM alongside Manufacturing team (the ownership of the project engineering electrical BOM’s is within this role) 
• You propose technical solutions in line with Global HV Wires strategy and growth plan
• You coordinate design and guidance of 3D harness routing and packaging working with the 3D Engineering team
• You take responsibility to ensure harness design meets customer design requirements e.g. design manual, guidelines, engineering handbooks
• You generate the Component RFQ technical pack to Lear Purchasing and arrange Technical Reviews 
• You analyse the cost returns and propose cost technical optimizations
• You manage and resolve engineering issues in a timely manner
• You deliver a cost & weight efficient HV harness design

 

Your qualifications

• You own a degree or equivalent, in electrical/ mechanical discipline
• You have an electrical harness engineering background
• You have the ability to read and use engineering specifications, technical drawings and circuit diagrams
• You are used to high voltage architecture and connection systems 
• You have good knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicle technologies / electrification
• You have high presentation and management skills 
• You are able to use UG and/or Catia
